A video called ‘Never buy Toyota’s made in..’, I think submitted sometime around the 5th May, 2021 seems to be missing from Youtube.   In it Scotty uses Royal purple fuel system cleaner to fix a fuel injector problem which was very informative.  It’s definitely very different to the video submitted almost a year ago called ‘Never buy a Toyota made in…’, which is a live talk video.  Does anybody here know if this is happening all the time, and does Youtube routinely delete videos based perhaps on number of views?   If that’s the case it seems a shame as a lot of good info is going to waste : (

It’s hard to say with youtube nowadays. They are so PC lately, if it got flagged for some reason, usually something misunderstood or flagged wrongly it could be blocked in certain countries or blocked entirely. Sometimes manufacturers can have videos removed. Hard to say. Scotty may have taken it down to, or changed the title. Have to see what he says.

Youtube is out of control. Something always offends somebody and they just take your video down.

That or sometimes Scotty just changes his mind. Maybe he doesn't stand behind that video any more.

Is this the one you were talking about?

@inthrustwetrust
The one I mentioned to you was called
"Why Not to Use Fuel Additives in Your Car" (Youtube video ID 9CaED_MTPWA)
It's gone too.

Thanks for the replies..  Not that it would be much help but I’ve got a screenshot of the original video I’d show you but I’m not sure how to upload it here.  I’ve got no idea about the other video mentioned above.  I knew they were deleting other content providers videos but I didn’t think they’d delete Scotty videos considering the number of views he gets.  If they are deleting them I guess it’s just their way of saying if you want to download videos to keep you have to pay for Youtube Premium.  At the current US$12/month it seems to me they’ve got a pretty high opinion of themselves : )

Youtube doesn't care about your views. They took down Pewdiepie videos.

Even if you have premium, you can't download videos that were taken down, and downloading each of Scotty's thousands of videos to my computer just in case doesn't sound like a solution. (and the space required makes it impossible)

I'm not even mad about it. Scotty repeats stuff so much that the material will eventually be covered again anyway (with more up to date info)

I agree completely! Youtube’s demonetized and banned so many content providers that I liked as you said originally it really is out of control.  In fact it wouldn’t surprise me at all if they even banned Pewdiepie.  When I first saw this Scotty video was missing I contacted them enquiring about their criteria for deleting it but of course got no reply.  And your right: I’ve been hoping that this particular video would eventually come back around again in a newer updated version. Thanks again!

Is it this one? Scotty uploads a video and changes its title later.

Sorry about the delay replying, but that is definitely the one; so thanks a lot G.T for letting me know.  Interesting that there’s no way I would have ever found it without your help because on the Youtube SK channel when setting the ‘Sort by’ filter to ‘Upload date’ the video doesn’t appear in the list when you go back around the 4th May.   So unless I’m doing something wrong that’s a Youtube fault not displaying every one of Scotty’s videos in chronological order.  So problem solved and thanks again..  I learnt a lot from this video so it’s much appreciated! : )

You are welcome! I'm glad it helps you.
