I am mentaining sportage diesel 2.0 intercooler turbo SUV 2002 model. The vehicle while driving feels very heavy and lethargic but previously the drive of vehicle specially in initial gears, the accelerator was very light energetic and sparkful but now the vehicle is behaving very lethargic and slow ☹️

Any diesel of that age you have to be suspicious of fuel injector failure and fuel pump failure. But I would start with the basics - fuel filter, air filter. You can try running a fuel additive with an injector cleaner, but most likely you will have to have a diesel mechanic check the fuel system and injectors. Probably not a cheap fix, but hopefully not too expensive.
