Hello scotty. I had a paid for 2019 subaru manual but it was underpowered. It had 152 horsepower and at wide open the a/c would barely cool the car and yes the a/c unit was fully charged. I looked at a new subaru crosstrek limited with 182 hp but the dealership wanted 42k. I did not want a car payment but I needed upgrade to an automatic SUV for health reasons because I can't drive a manual anymore. I went to carmax and traded my impreza for a 2011 toyota rav4 4x4. At the time the Impreza had 40k miles and the rav4 had 83k miles. Carmax gave me $21k for my car and the rav4 was $18k. So here in georgia there is no tax on a trade. The rav4 is basically a one owner. It also had been involved in a minor accident with no airbags deployed. I had 30 days to return it for a full refund and took it to a Toyota dealership for a second opinion. They inspected the car and said it was mechanically sound plus did minor warranty work and also I got a courtesy car for free while they had my rav4. The rav4 fits my needs, is an automatic, had a better a/c and more room. and to add carmax was upfront about everything prior to the trade I made with them. The rav4 is also the 4 cylinder and not the six which gives me better gas mileage. Finally, I have no car payment. Do you think I made a good purchase decision?
