I have a 2023 toyta rav4 and often drive around on my property to take out trash or go to mailbox and the seatbelt alarm is beyond hideous. Whats the best way to disable it. Heard about ecu coding and wanted to get a scanner anyway but not sure what to do. Heard thats a hidden setting you can disable but not sure which scanner is compatible. Seen seatbelt adapters on amazon I feel like they are too cheap to be safe? Any ideas please and thanl you.
I wouldn't mess with it. You'll definitely void your warranty, and if you're ever in a crash insurance will nail you to the wall.
Can't you just buckle it behind you?
Or just put your seatbelt on? Even if it's just down the driveway, I always put my seatbelt on. It takes 5 seconds.

There exist nice yellow ear-plugs to isolate you from the world.
You might be able to just unplug the chime speaker thing (inside the dash). Won’t make noise for anything; you can decide if that’s good or bad.
