Disc brake hardware

Hello Scotty and everyone,

I purchased the Akebono front+rear disc brake set for my 08 Lexus GS350 AWD but it didn't come with the front and rear brake caliper hardware-you know the anti-rattle clips, pins and the other stuff.

Now I have the Permatex Ceramic Lubricant, ACDelco for the front and Raybestos for the rear in my Amazon cart. Is it to mix brands for the disc brake hardware brands?

If not may someone recommend the best caliper hardware to purchase?

Regards,

Mike B.

That seems odd the brake pads came with no clips. I wonder if they were supposed to be included but were missing. Do you have a link to the brake pads you purchased?

@oskool I purchased them before Akebono started selling pads with hardware. It's explained on their site: https://akebonobrakes.com/hardware

@oskool Also Is it ok to mix different brands for the front and rear disc brake hardware kits?

If you're asking if you can use an ACDelco set on the front and the Raybestos set on the rear, yes you can. Why wouldn't you just buy both sets from the same brand?

@hixster Because for the ACDelco-the front is $16.94 but the rear is $35 and change. For the Raybestos the front and rear are under $20.00 but the front will arrive on the 27th vs the mix of which I will bet next week Monday.

@hixster *Correction* The mix brand will arrive Tuesday since I chose the Carbon Impact option that gives 6% cash back on Amazon.
