Hi Scotty,
My friend got a used trailblazer 2008 4.2 with around 142 K Kms. The car has some quality issues. The thermostat was replaced. The transmission seal to the diff was leaking so it was replaced. wheels were having uneven wear. So had to replace the tie rod. All within 10 thousand km!
The latest issue is he has a very tiny hole by the radiator where he can see bubbles coming. He has already had a lot of money spend and does not want to repair it now.
When its over 35 degree outside, the car seems to give excessive fan noise and seems like driving it on manual 1st gear.!
Would it be ok to use duct tape now or is it necessary to replace the radiator assembly.
Duct tape? On a radiator leak?! Surely you jest. Despite the amazing properties of duct tape displayed on the Red Green show, there is no way that is going to seal a radiator leak. The only way to fix it properly is to replace the radiator. ("Sealer" products are temporary bandaids at best that may clog up your cooling system.)
Now using duct tape to patch up a flat tire, that makes sense.

Haha. Looks like its just another diy fix. He is anyways going to give away the car after fixing this. He has had enuf of costs to keep it running!
Thanks Chuck.
