A friend of mine back in high school had one of these and I thought it was super cool.
As an adult now I wonder if it was actually made well or not worth the hype.
Also, I noticed it's remarkably similar looking to the Mitsubishi 3000GT. I assume it's not a coincidence.
I suppose I also want to know the same for the Mitsubishi 3000GT. Was it well made and would anyone recommend buying one?
They are both the same car, the Stealth being a badge-engineered Mitsubishi. An online search should find plenty of information about the car's good and bad points.
The main problem you will be facing is that the newest ones are 25 years old and most are older than that. How one of those has been treated and maintained over that period of time is going to be more important than its initial quality back in the day. Even if well-maintained you can expect age-related problems. Unfortunately it is the kind of car that previous young owners are likely to have beaten to death.
If you find one that looks promising and a good mechanic gives it a good bill of health before purchase one of those could make a fun weekend toy, but I would not count on it as a daily driver.
