Does engine oil level damage a Turbo

Good day,

I have a Renault Trafic panel van that has a turbo and I recently had a service and had an argument with my mechanic about the level of the engine oil level. He told me that the level of oil should be on the middle part of the oil deep stick and I told him that it should be on the maximum level of the deep stick. I told him that if the oil level is not on the maximum level, it can damage the engine rings and pistols, but he emphasized that it's not good for the turbo. So my question is does the level of engine oil on max damage the turbo or not?

Thanks

Common sense tells me it does not.

Yeah even me but I want to be sure cause the engine doesn't affect the turbo at all but I just need to be sure. Thanks for you're input. {pear}

You are welcome! It is more important how you drive a turbo. No high revving when cold and after you drive it, wait about 3 minutes to cool it down before you shut off the engine.

There is also a good article about turbocharged engines @razmig wrote
