I have a 1999 Honda Accord EX who has last me quite a while. Its automatic. Has about 230k miles. Up until now I got the code P0753. Flashing D4. Sluggish acceleration. I was advise to change the shift solenoid. Replaced it. Car was working alright for a few days and bang! Same code. Same sluggish acceleration. Next I was told that it probably is the TCM(transmission control module). I unplugged it and waited for a few minutes and plugged it back in. Turn it on and the check engine is gone and works ok now. Up until yesterday. Did the same thing. Works fine for now. Is resetting the ECM making my problem worse?

I think you might be trying to fix a symptom instead the cause of your problem. I would take it to transmission shop.
