Good evening. I am in need of some new headlights for my 2014 Nissan Altima, and I have stumbled upon Dorman headlights, what's your take on that? I am not trying to spend too much on my car since money is a bit tight at the moment, or should I wait and get a better set? Any input will be appreciated, thank you!
P.S. I have tried to change the lightbulbs but no luck, and I believe that the headlights tend to fail often on these models.
Dorman stuff is sometimes ok. Sometimes pretty junky.
My best bet is to wait and get a better aftermarket set
It depends on what you're getting. Scotty tends to like their stuff. I used Dorman replacement rear shock mounts in my truck a couple years ago to repair parts of my frame. They are fine. Headlight housings by them are probably fine. Scotty used cheap Chinese copies of headlight housings on his Matrix.
As long as they come with a limited lifetime warranty, go for it.
I don't really know much about dorman, but as long as they last from when you install them to when you trade in the vehicle, I'm sure you'll be fine.
