I have a 89 c1500 Cheyenne pickup with 305 motor. I replaced the brakes all the way around and flushed the brake lines with new brake fluid and checked my e-brake switch but my e-brake light still stays on. I've read where the lamp has 3 different intensities for either ABS problems or a higher intensity for e-brake problems which seems to be the case because it is very bright. When I disconnect the e-brake switch the light stays on. any suggestions how to fix

Check the wiring to the master cylinder reservoir low indicator switch.

Yes that stupid warning light comes off for all kinds of reasons if the break is on if you're low on pressure or if you're low on brake fluid one of those systems is screwed up
