Scotty, I have a 2005 Silverado 1500 z71, 5.3 v8 with automatic trans. Truck has 137,000 miles. When I shift to reverse it grabs hard after about 1.5-2 seconds. What do you think it could be?

Sounds like your transmission needs some serious attention. When was the last time you had the fluid changed? You may try changing the fluid -

If it continues doing it however, it’s time to visit a reputed transmission shop in your area. Someone who’s honest & knows what’s they’re doing. Get their diagnosis & then take a call.
