Electrical/head light issue

Hello I am having an electrical issue with my 2008 Toyota Yaris hatchback with 190k miles, manual.  My lowbeam bulbs are burning out prematurely one at a time.  It started with driver side going out, would replace the bulb, then the passenger side would go out.  A independent shop was able to get them working, except the driver side was a little brighter.  This worked for about 1.5 years until recently I replaced the alternator and battery.  It happened again on the driver side bulb.  The battery light is on sometimes, but usually stays off.  I am having a professional look at it now, but it will cost a fortune if they can't figure it out within a few hours.

I should add around the time it started a GPS I plug into the cigarette lighter died, although it was very old and has a lot of use on it.  I haven't used the cigarette lighter since.

I appreciate any advice.  Thank you.

Welcome new member.  Auto electric is tough for us amateurs.  But if I had to guess, I’d say you have a bad ground somewhere.
