I use Toyota Auris 1.3(2009), topped up engine oil recently and it was above the level, I drove almost 100 miles after top up, the engine light turned on now. How to mitigate this?
You need to scan it for codes in order to determine why the check engine light is on.

Yeah scan it to see what the code is the codes can be something else it could be totally on related but you don't want to overfill an engine only to that top line or dot if it's over you want to drain some out
