[Solved] Engine movement

2016 Chrysler 200 Limited 2.4L Automatic Milage 102467.

I just had all 3 motor mounts/transmission mount replaced about 2 weeks ago but I am feeling the vibrations again when driving and it feels like my car kicks forward as I accelerate from a stopped position and when changing gears (from park, reverse and drive). Also the front end of my car feels very heavy when I'm driving. The best way I can describe it is it feels like I am on a Teeter Totter with the front end down and back end up. There's loss in acceleration and when I am driving about 35-45 mph it feels as if I'm on a bumpy road. When making turns or slowing down I can feel the engine moving.

I recorded the engine movement when changing gears from park to reverse to drive then back to park. Also recorded some odd sounds from the engine.

  • Well it shouldn't rock back and forth that much. You still got a bad mount somewhere. There are many transmission and motor mounts that can cause that. This is the noise. Realize those really are Fiats with a bunch of Fiat parts and those engines are relatively noisy. As long as it doesn't burn too much oil and doesn't overheat I would just change the oil every 5000 mi and pray at last as long as possible. They stop making those 200s a long time ago because they were so poorly built

I had a feeling it was a bad mount again. Makes me sad cause I just paid for the all the engine and transmission mounts to be replaced and that was expensive. I have a strong feeling its the bottom torque mount. Since I cannot afford to have it done again, could you give me step by step instructions on how to check and or replace the bottom torque engine mount for this specific car?

Unfortunately this car is my only means for transportation so I am gonna have to do it myself. The guy who replaced my engine and transmission mounts wont answer my calls. I really appreciate your help, I know your time is valuable!
