Engine noise Toyota Corrola E15

Hello guys,

I have a 2007 Toyota Corolla E15 1.6 Dual VVT-i petrol and to me it seems like the engine does not sound very well (don't have much car experience though).

I would be really thankful if someone can have a look at the youtube video I've attached and let me know if it really is bad.

Cheers from Bulgaria and thanks.

When was the last time you adjusted your valves?

Intake supposed to be .006-.010, exhaust supposed to be .010-.014. The adjustment is made with little discs of differing thicknesses. From my experience, all the 4 cylinder Toyotas sound like diesels because of the large valve clearances.

Thanks for your response. I have had it for less than a year, so I've never done valve adjustments but will surely look into it.
