Hey Scotty,
I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 5.9 liter. 170000 miles standard truck, automatic transmission. The engine started vibrating at idle, and also vibrating when accelerating. Really need help on this one.
Thank you for your time.
Greg,
Hello everyone, thank you for your input on checking vacuum leaks and motor mounts. Unfortunately these are not the issues.
The vibration issue at idle, and acceleration, is resolved. The problem ended up being the harmonic balancer puly on the crank shaft. Did the repair myself with no problems, the part cost $ 96.00 🙄
Well done! Thank you for posting back with the fix.
Start by checking all your vacuum line connections.
Have you checked the motor mounts? or anything else that helps hold the engine in place?
In addition to the engine mounts, check all your transmission mounts too.
