Get a new Tacoma. They have a MUCH better driving position than earlier generations; high and commanding versus prior generations, which were low and legs straight out. They also have a coil spring rear suspension like the new Tundras for improved ride comfort. Yes, it's a 2.4-Liter 4-Cylinder with a turbocharger, but the Ranger and Colorado also have Turbo-4 engines. An SR5 4x4 Double Cab with typical options, such as the JBL stereo with a portable JBL speaker, runs about $46K. More than a Colorado or Ranger, but it's a much better truck.
