Hello, Car Gurus! I drive an '09 Honda Civic, and the few times I had to have my battery disconnected, I have to have a Honda Tech enter a 5 digit code to get my radio/CD player working again! The code is not in the glove box, as someone suggested. Also, I tried pressing 1 and 6 at the same time with the key on w/out the motor running, as someone suggested to get the serial # of the radio so I can get my code from a Honda dealer over the phone. This did not work. Any tips? Otherwise I have to drive all the way to the dealership AGAIN just to get it to work. (15 miles) I have NO Manual. Can anyone help? Appreciate you guys ...you have helped me a lot in the past.
the 1 and 6 method should work. Are you sure you followed the exact procedure?
you may be able to pull up the owners manual online
She needs her own manual for the code. The code is a sticker on her car manual.
mine was on the outside of the glove box, visible when the glove box is open
you may still need the device serial number to retrieve the code through the website
