Scotty,
I have a 2002 Mazda B3000 (Ford Ranger)automatic 122000 mi. my check engine light came on, I scanned it. It gave me a P1120 and a P1121 code (TPS signal not consistent with MAS) I Changed the TPS and the MAS Sensors. I did no adjustments to anything...Just plug and play. I am still getting the error codes and the truck now runs like crap. what could it be? HELP PLEASE.
Thanks, Paul
Those rangers are finicky when it comes to TPS (sensors). They don't tolerate the aftermarket ones. Did you replace it with the OEM? I use OEM for both the MAF & TPS sensors on my 2001 Ranger
No I used aftermarket on both. Guess I'll be heading to buy OEM Parts. Thanks for the advice. I'll give it a try.
Did you properly adjust the TPS?
Disconnect your negative battery cable for 5 minutes and let the PCM re-learn the new TPS.
this one does not adjust and I have done the reset....it last about 3 miles down the road before it throws the code again.
