Hey Scotty, Thanks for doing what you do.
I recently purchased a used Toyota corolla 2013 model, Automatic transmission, it was accidentented when I bought it. The impact was in front and it damaged the ABS module. The ABS, Brake, Check Engine, VSC, Power Steering LIGHT were all on but after I changed the ABS module, all the lights went off except the VSC and Check Engine light. I scanned it the following codes came up:
U0129: (Electronic Motor Power Steering Code) STATUS CURRENT History.Lost com with brake system module
C1241: (Antilock Brake system code)
STATUS CURRENT History. Low or High Power Supply Voltage
U0100: (Antilock Brake system code)
STATUS CURRENT History. Lost com with ECM/PCM
P0420: (Permanent code)
catalyst system efficency below threshold Bank 1
P0420: (pending code)
catalyst system efficency below threshold Bank 1
How can I solve these problems?
Also, I changed the tyre to a bigger one (from 205 55 R60 to 205 60 R16), since then my ride has not been smooth. It's very bumpy with so much vibrations. It seems like the car wobbles especially at very low speed.
What could be the cause and how do I solve these problems.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks a bunch!!!!
You bought a car which was wrecked in an accident and apparently not been well taken care of. This is the main reason of all these codes. All these trouble codes (either related or unrelated to the accident), need to be analyzed separately.
Start with the P codes. Change Air filter and clean the MAF sensor.
