I have a 2020 Lexus RX 450h. The lease expires at the end of December. Car has 12,500 miles. I was going to buy. Should I buy the Lexus extended warranty? 3 years will cost $2,500 and 5 years will cost about $3,200. Is it worth buying? I’m concerned because the car has had a lot of clicking noises that has required repair from the dealer. If it’s not under warranty, they won’t cover these noises. Hopefully this last time they were able to fix but I’m never convinced.

Well if you've been having issues with it then don't buy it out. Find a different reliable car to buy.
As for extended warranty in general you have to always read the whole contract and all the fine print. Usually there are so many clauses in it that result in it not covering so many things that it's just not worth it. Extended warranty is mostly a profit maker for dealerships.
If there are problems with the car, get rid of it.
Personally, I never buy the extended warranty. They always find a way out of it. And with a Lexus/Toyota, you usually wouldn’t need it.
No. It's a dealer rip off.
