Hey scotty, i am looking at buying a used ford from a private part. I want to keep it forever, just like you, and i will be towing under 5k lbs regularly. What should i go with? V10 or v8? And what years, and liter size??? F150 or F250? My budget is around 5k. Also I'm curious what you would get, if you could spend more money? Like around 10k

The f250 is the better built truck. For only 5000 towing the f150 is more than enough. The v8 in some.years had some oil issues. Look around and see what examples you can get for your price range and decide from there.

F250 would be my pick. They last longer and are better built.
