Hi, um can I please ask what a fair price would be to install a new alternator and a serpentine belt on an '09 Honda civic? My alternator seems fine, but my Father has an '09 Honda and his went bad last week. I figure that since I take long trips in it a few times a years, I'd rather be safe than sorry. If the alternator works then you should not touch it. You can toss a spare belt in the trunk though.

Whatever the market will bear. The alternator itself from Rock Auto, AC Delco #3351354 is $194,80.
