Hello Scotty Community,
I am trying to pinpoint an oil leak I have on my 2006 Ford Mustang V6 with 81K. I was assuming it was leaking from the timing cover. However, I put in some engine oil dye and when I look with the light and yellow glasses the upper most green dye is seen at the circled bolt on the picture. This bolt is next to and does not secure the timing cover. This bolt actually secures a bracket that supports a heater hose. Is it possible that this bolt threads into an oil containing portion of the engine?

Remove the bolt, coat the threads with sealant and re-install. It may go through part of an oil galley.
