Hi, I'm looking at getting my first car which i want to be a late 70s or one of the early 80s body style ford f150s and I was wondering what engine should I try to get in one. I want one of the v8s and I think they had the 302 and three different 351s. Thanks in advance.

a car from the 70's?!!?! This does NOT sound like a good first car.

Getting a car that old, means you want to work on it. It can not be your daily driving though.
