- I'm 15 about to turn 16 and I'm looking for my 1st truck, I'm looking at the 1973 to 1987 Chevy K10 or K20 Square bodies. I want A V8 under the hood and a 4 on the floor manual transmission, Are they reliable would you recommend them. I also work on them myself so I would be interested to know if they're easy to get parts for. Thanks Scotty for the great videos. Also I know they suck on gas mileage I'm more worried about smiles per gallon than miles per gallon.

reliable, no. Cars & trucks wear out and you better believe a 40 year old one is going to need more attention than a high maintenance girlfriend.
What is your budget? Why do you want a truck? They are more expensive.
