I have a 2008 Toyota 4 Runner Limited Edition with the 6 cylinder engine. The truck has been awesome but has now hit 200,000 miles. almost instantly, the alternator went out and then a week later the air conditioner stopped working. I am wondering if this vehicle is worth investing in or if its time to jump ship and pony up for a new truck. How many miles should I expect to get out of this truck.

With a bad alternator and no AC, you won't get much for that truck in a sale or trade-in, so you will be better off financially fixing it before any sale or trade-in. What it's going to cost to fix it wouldn't cover 2 monthly payments on a new 4 Runner. Most people get 3-400,000 miles out of a 4Runner if they do the basic maintenance.
