Fixing a MAF sensor code

Hi Scotty I have a 2012 Nissan Altima 2.5S sedan. I bought the car and had it inspected and a code for P0101 popped up. I replaced my air filter and cleaned the MAF sensor and that hasn't fixed the issue. I also replaced it with a new one and the check engine light is off but the code is still stored after I reset the computer. What would you recommend I do.

What would you recommend I do.

First and foremost, the next time you buy a used car have it inspected by a mechanic and checked for codes before you buy it.

Was the new MAF an OEM sensor or aftermarket? You'll find possible causes and appropriate diagnostic steps for P0101 here:
