Florida weather effects on cars

Hey Scotty, I just moved from LaLa Land (California) to Ormond Beach, Florida and I’m living about 0.3 miles away from the ocean. I’m right between the Atlantic Ocean and the Halifax river. Will the saltiness of the ocean air affect my 2019 Camry ?

Yes, it definitely does.

Yes, I live in Citrus county Florida, a few miles from the gulf. The best thing you should do is put a good brand of paste wax on the car at least once a month.

Yes, due to the salt spray in the atmosphere it will rust from the top down rather than from the bottom up as it would do on salted winter roads.

Congrats on escaping California.  When I lived in Hawaii, it didn't take very long for the cars to turn into rolling piles of rust from the salt air.  Florida is not as bad but still pretty bad.  Hope you like to wash your cars a lot.
