hello Scotty, I have 3 high mileage cars, i regularly change oil every 5k miles, over 150k, 190k and 240k miles. Do you recommend that I do an engine flush the the next oil change? thanks
If you do more frequent oil changes, you would be surprised how well oil can clean over time.
Engine flushes IMO are a last resort hail mary for engines that are on the verge of blowing up from choking on sludge. I have seen some remarkable transformations on engines that I would normally have pronounced end if life on and put on life support. With that said it is never something I would recommend to the average DIYer to do in their driveway with something you can buy at you local auto parts store.
