- Scott i have a question about how good is a Ford Escape 2008. I like know if they are a good Small SUV to buy. Is there anything I should look out for and what question to ask before I approach they owners about but it. It looks really good and its a one owner car. It has 130,000 plus miles the are no visible leaks anywhere and none I can see on the motor. Just wondering if this would be a good buy for the price range between $6000 - $9000. {black}:pray:

I wouldn't buy it. Those had some transmission problems and with 130K+ miles, you're rolling the dice on how long that transmission will last. Plus, that's too much money for a 13 year old Escape with that many miles - it's not worth more than $4,000-$5,000. I suggest looking for a Toyota Rav4.

They are OK at most so I wouldn't really look at them as a good reliable car also no way in a million years would I pay anywhere near 9 grand for one that is just insane at most $3500 I would walk away for the price range you are in.
