I live in Kentucky, I've noticed that in my town of Bethlehem KY there are two dealers across from each other, it's crazy because Ford has very little stock and the Chevy dealer is loaded with stock, did the chip issue affect just ford and not chevy ?...
I noticed the same thing, and it's not just vehicles. It's part too. GM is just better at supply management.
In terms of the chip shortage- Ford has thousands of unfinished broncos up in Michigan. They can't sell any bronco.
It's all in a matter of who's paying who for these chips and when are they getting them.
LOL. I thought it was because nomine wants to buy a GM product. Jk jk.
GM is shutting down plants in north America for a bit because of the shortage, they are affected too.
Ford, in my opinion, has managed the shortage worse than the other 2. I mean I don’t see a shortage of RAMS or Jeeps. I’m starting to see the shortage hit GM but I’m still seeing trucks and blazers and the other crap on the lot every now and then. The Ford dealer where I live has only 2 new F series trucks and a couple rangers, that’s it.
GM is definitely impacted:

Even Toyota is impacted:
