Ford Edge Service Charging System Now

Topic starter

Scotty - It's a 2017 Ford Edge Titanium 2.0 Ecoboost with 52K miles. We like to drive to the beach in North Florida often and the warning light doesn't bother us too much on the trip. But around town, the "Service Charging System Now" bonks at us a lot. I had the alternator and battery changed, didn't make a difference. So I started poking around and dug out the fuse chassis completely. The main 275LT fuse welded to the chassis was fine. Everything looked and smelled clean. Maybe one of the wires in the alternator's wiring harness is broken. What do you think?

Sent for the FORSCAN OMBII to get some codes for you. I thought just in case you have run into this issue before you might have an idea.

Well fortunate Taurus for having problems at the wiring either at the alternator itself or coming off the positive terminal of the battery. So check those wires first
