Hi Scotty, should i repair it again or cut my losses? my escape is throwing a cylinder 1 misfire. I think it was the same cylinder that had the misfire when I had to rebuild the cylinder head because one of the valves werent closing. I paid $2k back in 2020 for that repair. I worked without any issues until now. I could replace the spark plugs and ignition coils, but I am afraid that would be wasting money since that is not the root cause I believe. Try taking the coil off #1 and swap it with another cylinder, for example #3. If the misfire moves to 3, the coil is bad. If #1 still misfires, do the same thing with the spark plugs. If #1 still misfires, it could be the fuel injector. Replacing that may involve pulling the intake manifold, so I would do a compression test before proceeding further. Good luck.
