hi i have a ford escape 2011, the latch in the driver side is bad and i open the door for the passenger side whit my control remote but the batery is off, now the suv is complety seal, i want open the hood for install a new batery and the open de suv, i dont have sucess whit this, please help {black}:excitement:
you just need to find and pull your hood release latch from the outside.
the interior latch is just basically a wire concerted to the exterior latch.
on many cars there are also ways to power the computers and the electrical systems from outside the car, and more convenient ways to open your hood when the battery is flat - but for that, you’ll have to check the owners manual for your car as that can be different for each make and model.
this is a video of the internet for an F-150 but it’ll probably also work just fine on an escape or almost any modern car.
As a side note: all of those locks and security systems that constantly lock out owners and make life difficult- are a joke, it would a thief under 2 minutes to drive off in even a next gen escape.

I mean those locks are made of lost and crappy metals - take pretty much 0 effort for a thief to open, but a huge headache for owners.
