I am looking at a 2002 Ford Explorer that apparently has 76k miles on it and they are selling it. I have heard mixed reviews on it, is it a good buy?

The mileage is suspiciously low and would need to be verified. There will be age-related problems even if the low mileage is correct.
That model is very prone to transmission problems.
