Hi Scotty, what’s your opinion on a high mileage (225k) lS 5.3 that’s used fossil based oil changing over to a high mileage synthetic oil. I get a lot of mixed opinions but trust yours as an unbiased opinion.

What makes you want to switch?
If you're not having any issues now, just keep using what you're using.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I agree. Stick with regular oil.

I don't see a problem with switching. It's better for the engine and should help it to last longer.
