Hey all I’m back with another truck to ask about, i found a guy selling his 2001 Tacoma for 10k but I’m planning to negotiate the price down. It’s has 150k miles and a 4 cylinder engine. Any input on what you think it’s worth or things I should inspect when I go test drive the vehicle? I don’t have a mechanic that can come since it’s a two hour drive.

those are great trucks but make sure there's no rust underneath if there's rust walk away
I have a video of him turning it on and opening the hood of the engine running but I don’t know if I can share the video here
The things I'd worry about/check - rust, accident damage, transmission, engine wear. Make sure you start it from cold, let it get fully warm and check the trans at different speeds - make it downshift, accelerate hard, etc.
I'd do a compression check (which only takes cheap equipment and is fast), do at least a basic check for codes (and make sure that the current owner hasn't just erased the codes - people do that).
It looks nice, but a pretty face can hide a lot of nasty (and I have an ex who proves it).
Ask for the vin #, check it out in person check for rust accident etc., have a mechanic check it out
