Hello! I have a 1994 Toyota Landcruiser 80 series 1HZ diesel engine with only around 110000km. They are still the original oem kyb shocks. The front shock absorbers occasionally will weep some oil.
Recently, the front passenger is leaking slight more compared to driver side with very minor weep. The ride is not particularly bouncy, however when I hit bumps, it jolts the steering a bit. At higher speeds, I do feel it bounce slighty more.
The front end has been throughly checked and everything is still solid. Should I replace or could I hold off? Below attached photos are the passenger side shocks. Thanks!

You need new shocks. It's almost 30 years old at this point. Rubber doesn't last forever, it hardens and starts to crack. When you start losing oil, there will come a time where the springs are there, not the shocks, and you don't want to be in that situation when the car starts to bounce uncontrollably.
replace them
slight weep is normal for its age
Do things wear out ? Yes.
Does that mean you should drive with failed suspension? Absolutely not.

Thank you for all the replies. I have replaced the both front shocks with KYB Skorched 4 and what a difference it made. The originals was not kyb but Tokico Japan and it was barely holding on judging by how easy I can push it and it does not rebound smoothly and get stuck at different spots.
Excellent news!
When i really notice the shocks are bad is around curves, I had bad rear shocks recently. I do deliveries, and going around a curve if I hit a tiny bump I could feel my tires lose traction, and jerk outward a bit due to the centrifugal force. Not fun at all, especially on a mountain road.
That’s the same reason I had to change my Prius rear struts. Curves felt so unstable. Shaky. Unsafe.
Yeah that will make your mind up quick to get new struts won't it? 😆
I would replace if leaking
Is it considered leaking from the pictures? I search around and most say a slight weep is normal for its age 😅
I would change it if it was me but I’m crazy with my car lol the oil in the shock absorber absorbs the shock of going over bumps if the oil is leaking it’s not absorbing to its full potential over time the leak will get worse and you’ll def feel a difference it’s up to you if it’s driving fine now and you don’t have the money to change them then wait but if money isn’t an issue then I would change them just so you don’t have to worry anymore you know

It's not "normal".
