front stabilizer sway bars

Topic starter

went to dealer and they did a point 27 inspection and found that the front sway bars need to be changed, we look at them at our garage and didn't see no corrosion, leaks or broken rubber on them and we pretty stiff and said they were urgent to change, no issue when over bumps. So if replacing the sway bars does the vehicle need alignment.?

Sway bars don't go bad. Sway bar links and mounts can of course but shouldn't on a car that new. The dealer is probably trying to rip you off. (It's their fundamental nature to do that.)

If any question get a second opinion from a good independent mechanic. Stay away from the dealer for anything but warranty repairs or recalls. Also avoid chain shops like Pep Boys, Midas, etc.

That, and many other things, are covered in the topic "READ THIS FIRST - Forum Guide" posted near the top of the main page.
