I just watched your video on replacing the fuel gauge sending unit. I have a 1992 Chevy El Camino with a 305 small block engine. My gas gauge is stuck on E. I noticed you didn’t have to drop the gas tank to replace the sending unit would I be able to do this also without dropping the gas tank? With my gas gauge stuck on E would it be the sending unit that needs replaced?
would it be the sending unit that needs replaced?
the system consists of the sending unit in the tank, the gauge on your instrument panel, and all the wiring in between.
The failure can be in any of those components.

See where the wiring is accessible on the tank.

Test it and see.
