How Long Does a Fuel Pump Usually Last? I have GMC yukon 2006 with 255,000 miles ، with no difficulty .

It depends on how the vehicle was treated. The only way to tell if your fuel pump is having issues is when you put to the on position and if you here a buzz sound. If you hear the sound, that means that the fuel pump is working. If your car's fuel pump isn't having issues, you could leave as is.

You can always pressure test your fuel pump to see if it's up to spec or on the way out.
