Hello Scotty,
Love your channel. Like you, I have been a long time Toyota fan. I recently bought a 2014 Venza XLE V6 front wheel drive. One owner, 37,000 miles and like brand new. Inspected not a single issue/code. My only issue is the gas mileage. I knew going in that it only gets 19 city 26 highway. So far I have been getting probably 22-23 mpg combined. Is there any way to improve that? - Additive or tire pressure or "thingamajig" I have been trying to drive very conservatively but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Other than that love it.
The miles per gallon figures published for vehicles is based on ideal conditions of temperature, humidity and barometric pressure. They are about as far removed from reality as our current leadership in Washington, DC.
fuel economy numbers are like promises from socialists
Right you are.
The fuel economy standards probably also assume the road is flat. Unless you live in Kansas, that's definitely not the case. Climbing any significant hills reduces MPG pretty well.
You get a good mpg. Realize that the Venza is a relatively heavy SUV with V6. You can not expect phenomenal mpg out of that.
