Took back tire off 98 4Runner. Directly behind tire is a hub that goes over studs as well, and it doesn’t want to go back on. Help?

If the brake shoes are holding it up, you may have to back off the adjuster mechanism, then install the drum and readjust it, or use a grinder to cut down the ridge that develops on the edge of the drum so it slides back on.
