I have a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban 1500, 5.3L, automatic, four wheel drive, 130k miles. Had a problem with lifters seizing. Had engine replaced with rebuilt engine. A lifter seized after 3000 miles on rebuilt engine. I looked into it, seems the 5.3 from '06-'15 have a fuel economy mode that automatically engages at cruising speed, causing lifters to seize. Can I prevent the fuel economy mode by driving in tow/haul mode? Thanks.

No that won't help.
Read about cylinder deactivation on our FAQ page.
Thanks

Go online and find a device to plug into the OBDII port that deactivates the AFM system.
Thanks, I got an OBD plug from Range Technology. It works great, better throttle response.
