Are GMC good trucks? My mechanic friend said GMC are durable trucks just wondering your 2nd opinion. I'm looking for a big truck slightly used maybe 3-5 years old from the dealer.

GMC is the same as Chevrolet. It's all GM, and no they aren't particularly durable. Unless you've got the big bucks for an HD model.

Welcome new member. Full size trucks (and to a lesser extent heavy duty trucks) have been discussed extensively on the forum. Take a look on the search bar above, especially regarding cylinder deactivation. You’ll get a much broader range of opinions than just what people respond in this specific thread.
