I have a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4, 5.3l, 8 speed transmission. After a hard freeze I got an engine light and a transmission shudder. Never really noticed a hard shudder since I hardly drive it on the highway and it's only about a 10 minute ride to work. It does have a very noticeable exhaust sputter when cold start. Transmission temperature on the info page fluctuates from 50 degrees + or - and sometimes shows ( - - ). Temp Guage needle will show normal readings. Only the RPMs fluctuate with the shudder. The only thing I've done is disconnected both terminals from the battery and charged it over night. Checking inexpensive light will blink on and off every once in a while.
Error codes after reset are U0077 and U0401.

I hope someone can help me out....
Well those are communication code. So I would assume since you said you had hard freeze, you might have water intrusion on some of the electrical connections or modules that are shorting it out. Good luck finding that though there's warriors all over the place
