4Runner: Yes or No?

Hey Scotty,

I have a 2016 Fusion Titanium 2.0L Turbo with 55k miles on it valued at $14k. I am looking to trade it in for something that'll tow a camper. I found a 2011 Toyota 4Runner with 77k miles on it for $27k. Would it be a smart investment to get the 4Runner, or should I get one with fewer miles on it? (I will be using it as a daily driver as well, so need something super reliable for at least 5 years.)

Thanks!

If you can get $14k for the Fusion, get rid of it. As for the 4runner, 77k miles is not even broken-in yet for a 4runner, but it is 10 years old and $27k is steep in my opinion, but we are in crazy used car prices due to the pandemic. @Karem is right for a bit more you can get a brand new one.

The Fusion isn't worth half of that so if you can get 14 grand get rid of it now. The 4Runner's price is ridiculous. 5 grand more and you can get a BRAND NEW one.

Good price for the Fusion, but I see similar 4Runners from $21k - $23k all the time. They are steep on that price.
