Hey there Scotty,
I have a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis with 121,000 miles on it and there are a couple things wrong with it: sometimes when I am at a red light the car will shake and the battery light will go on. Another thing is when I’m highway driving and take my foot off the gas, the car will sometimes jerk. What could these mean? Thanks!

If your alternator is going out, all the electrical systems on the vehicle will be affected causing a plethora of problems. Check your alternator output at idle and revved up. Should be about 12.5 volts and 14.5 volts respectively.
